Valencia es una ciudad joven, con muchos sitios de interés y además tiene mar. Las temperaturas siempre son suaves y agradables, incluso en invierno.
Los tres amigos deciden ir en coche hasta allí para tener más libertad de movimiento y así no tener que hacer planes ni depender de los horarios del transporte público. Pero no saben el viaje que les espera.
-Sandra: Miguel, siempre igual. Tu retraso es crónico, no consigues ser puntual.
-Miguel: ¿Por qué? ¿Crees que Verónica ya está lista?
-Sandra: Espero que sí. La avisé con tiempo. Además, siempre suele ser puntual. Venga, date prisa.
-Miguel: Vale, ya casi termino. Dos minutos y nos vamos.
Pasa media hora.

-Miguel: ¡Qué hambre tengo chicas! Podría comerme un caballo.
-Sandra: Yo necesito un café porque estoy cansada de conducir.
-Verónica: Puedo conducir yo ahora, Sandra.
-Sandra: Te lo agradezco Vero. Me disculpáis. Voy al baño.
Sandra va al baño y se encuentra con una mujer mayor muy simpática. La mujer le pide ayuda porque ha perdido su cartera mientras estaba dentro. Sandra mira por todas partes pero no encuentra nada.
-Sandra: Posiblemente la ha dejado en otro lugar.
-Mujer: No sé, hija. Tengo una cabeza… Siempre olvido las cosas.
-Sandra: Aquí no está. ¿Viaja sola?
-Mujer: No, con mi hijo. Creo que voy a preguntarle a él. Gracias.
Sandra vuelve con sus amigos, que ya están listos para continuar el viaje. Salen del establecimiento.
-Miguel: Aquí tienes tu café.
-Sandra: Gracias Miguel. Vámonos.
-Verónica: Conduzco yo ahora, ¿vale?
-Sandra: Vale. Toma las… ¿Dónde están las llaves?
-Verónica: ¡Oh no! ¡El coche tampoco está!

Después de media hora de persecución, comienza a sonar la sirena de la policía. El camionero debe parar porque estaba conduciendo muy rápido por la autopista. Pero estos chicos no saben que el camionero es traficante de armas.
-Camionero: Chicos, se acabó el viaje. Tenéis que salir de aquí cuanto antes. La policía está detrás y mi cargamento no es legal precisamente. Podéis salir por la parte de abajo del camión. Mucho cuidado…
Los chicos, sin tiempo para pensar, escapan por una estrecha abertura en el suelo del camión hasta pisar el asfalto. Van hacia la parte de atrás del remolque y se adentran en el campo cercano.
-Sandra: ¿Qué vamos a hacer ahora? ¡Dios mío!
-Miguel: Debemos continuar chicas. Hay que seguir adelante.
-Verónica: Vamos a pensar algo.
De repente se escucha la locomotora de un tren de mercancías.
-Miguel: Ya está. Tenemos que subir a ese tren.
-Sandra: ¡¿Qué?! ¿Cómo?
-Miguel: No lo sé.
Miguel comienza a correr hacia el tren y las dos chicas lo siguen. Afortunadamente el tren no va muy rápido. Miguel consigue ver una puerta lateral que está abierta. Se coloca al lado y da un salto hacia dentro. Sorprendentemente ha conseguido entrar y ahora tiende la mano a sus amigas para ayudarlas a subir.
No ha sido nada fácil pero al final los tres están bien, y a bordo. De nuevo rumbo a Valencia. Pero no se dan cuenta de que no están solos…

Los conectores
Los conectores son palabras muy importantes para hablar en cualquier idioma. Nos ayudan a relacionar varios elementos en una frase y también conectan frases enteras.
El conector y es muy importante. Su trabajo es conectar varios elementos en una frase:
-El mar es azul, hermoso y grande.
-María es guapa, inteligente y simpática.
-Esta mañana me he duchado, he desayunado y he ido a trabajar.
-Ayer vi a Juan y le pregunté por su mujer.
Si queremos conectar dos elementos y el elemento después de y comienza por el mismo sonido (i), cambiamos la forma a e para facilitar la pronunciación:
-Me gusta pensar e imaginar que soy una cantante famosa.
-Tengo varios proyectos e ideas para el curso.
Si necesitamos conectar elementos en negativo, usamos la forma negativa del conector y, la forma ni:
-No tengo casa ni dinero ni amigos. No tengo nada.
-No bebí ni bailé nada en la fiesta.
Hay que recordar que la estructura no…nada aparece siempre de forma conjunta y expresa una negación absoluta.
Otro conector importante es o. Este conector también relaciona varias cosas dentro de una frase pero en este caso tenemos que escoger o elegir entre una cosa y otra:
-¿Qué teléfono te gusta más: el teléfono rojo o el negro?
-No sé si viajar al Caribe o a Canadá.
-Esta noche podemos cocinar carne o pescado.
-¿Estudias o trabajas?
Igual que el conector y, si el elemento después del conector comienza por el mismo sonido, su forma cambia a u:
-¿Qué teléfono quieres: este teléfono u otro diferente?
Pero es otro conector muy frecuente en español. Solamente conecta dos elementos y siempre expresa algo diferente en positivo o en negativo respecto al elemento anterior:
-Juan es divertido pero un poco nervioso.
-Juan tiene mal genio pero buen corazón.
-Barcelona es una ciudad preciosa pero muy húmeda.
-Madrid es una ciudad muy bonita pero hace mucho frío en invierno.
Además es un nuevo conector con un significado diferente. También añade o suma elementos nuevos pero con más intensidad:
-Este chico es muy trabajador y además tiene un buen curriculum.
-¿Vamos a la playa? Hace un día precioso. Además, mañana no trabajamos.
-Este coche es perfecto. Es muy amplio por dentro y, además, es barato.
Este conector expresa una característica e información nueva que intensifica y refuerza la explicación del objeto o situación que nos interesa.
