El primer día de Andrea
Andrea es una nueva alumna en la academia de idiomas. Es inglesa y viaja a Madrid para aprender español. Está en recepción para su primera clase. Ignacio, el profesor de español llega y le pregunta a Andrea:
-¡Buenos días! ¿Eres Andrea, verdad?
-Hola. Sí, soy Andrea. ¿Eres el profesor de español?
-Sí, me llamo Ignacio y soy de Madrid. Encantado. ¿De dónde eres tú?
-Soy inglesa, estoy en Madrid para aprender español. Me gusta viajar.
-¿Dónde vives Andrea?
-Vivo en el barrio de Hortaleza.
-¿Y a qué te dedicas?
-Soy estudiante.
-Muy bien. Bienvenida a la escuela. Ahora vamos a escuchar a unos alumnos practicando en su clase.

Formas irregulares
Muchos verbos son irregulares en el pretérito perfecto simple. Tres de ellos son SER, IR y DAR.
SER (para ser) e IR (para ir) comparten la misma forma en pretérito perfecto simple:
Esa es la razón por la que fui puede significar que fui o que era dependiendo del contexto. Mira estas oraciones:
Ella fue al cine.

Cambios ortográficos en la forma “YO” del Pretérito perfecto simple
Para preservar el sonido del infinitivo, un número de verbos cambia su ortografía en la forma “yo” del tiempo pretérito:
• Verbos que acaban en -CAR cambian la C por QU
• Verbos que acaban en -GAR cambian G por GU
• Verbos que acaban en -ZAR cambian Z por C

Irregular forms
Many verbs are irregular in the simple past tense. Three of them are SER, IR and DAR.
SER (to be) and IR (to go) share the same form in simple preterit perfect:
That is the reason why I went can mean that I was or that it was depending on the context. Look at these prayers:
