2/ Grammar Practice

3/ Sentence Practice

Is that a grammar book that you are reading?

Yes, I am reading about adjectives. Adjectives describe things. They generally come in front of nouns.

They have one form and do not change for singular and plural or before masculine and feminine nouns.

Adjectives, respect a certain hierarchy. The order in which they appear is not random

Where it comes from.

What it is made of.

What it is for.

That’s quite interesting.

Thanks Susan for booking the Spanish holiday, it seems really interesting.

You’re becoming easier to please. It is getting hot in Alicante and it is only May.

I’m not awake yet, I’m still half asleep. I was doing the packing until two o’clock this morning.

You look a bit tired. You appear to be half asleep.

I see that we are going to stay at the well-known resort of Javea.

It is an interesting small not too old resort.

It has a typical hot Mediterranean sandy seafront.

It has a beach that is very hot but in summer it is extremely hot.

It sounds very superb. I am only joking. I know there are some adjectives you can not grade.

Although you can intensify them. It sounds really superb.

I am sure it will be absolutely wonderful.

I hear that there is a famous big old round gothic marble wishing well in the town.

If there is something that is interesting you will know about it, Susan.

I am never surprised or bored by your general knowledge.

When we are about to take off don’t be frightened.

I won’t be, I find flying exhilarating.
