PET english test
There are a number of English tests available and if you are thinking of taking the Cambridge
Exams a good place to start is with the PRELIMINARY ENGLISH TEST (PET) which was conceived to test that the level of General English is good enough to exchange familiar information and instructions at work or in everyday social communication. The PET contains 3 parts: Reading and Writing (90 minutes), Listening (35 minutes) Speaking (10 -12 minutes) The courses begin any day and exam dates can be found on the Cambridge English website, The exams are not marked out of a hundred but instead four grades are given, Pass with Merit, Pass, Narrow Fail and Fail. Results are published two months after the taking of the exam and they are accompanied by Certificates.
