Abla lenguas is situated in the very heart of old Valencia . It is surrounded by beautiful old buildings and parks. It is within walking distance of the famous Carmen area with its typical tapas bars and internationally renowned nightlife. It is a short bus or tube ride to the beach. Las Arenas and Malvarossa are very high quality beaches that are actually in Valencia. Both provide excellent facilities for diving, swimming or skiing, or for the less sporty a stroll along the endless promenade. Valencia is Spain's 3rd largest city , located on the Mediterranean coast; it is famous for its mild climate with seven months uninterrupted sunshine. We chose Valencia for the quality of the Spanish spoken in the town itself. We looked at Barcelona but we were put off by the fact that the inhabitants in Barcelona will only speak in Catalan. Although Latin based it is a completely different language. We also looked at Madrid but the heavy Madrid accent is difficult even for Spanish-speakers to understand. ... So, when you walk out of the school into a shop or a restaurant, you can practice understanding and speaking. Valencia hosted the America's Cup in 2007 and will do so in 2011. It is also internationally renowned for its "Fallas".
